The Team Driver young driver finished the first round of the WSK Final Cup as a protagonist with a top ten finish and seven positions recovered in the final.
The weekend just ended at the Franciacorta Karting Track was also Alex’s first in the OK Junior category. It was a first weekend of hard work together with the team and also of great satisfaction. The Ukrainian driver was fast right from the start, constantly improving his performance.
After P11 in his qualifying session, Legenkyi approached the scheduled heats in the right mood, making no mistakes and finishing Saturday with a P11, P8 and three positions gained, and a P9 with another two positions gained.
The Pre-Final was not easy due to the fierce battle and contact on the first lap. However, Alex did well to stay out of trouble and finished in P11. The OKJ Final was a worthy conclusion to his first weekend in the new category, with an excellent start by the driver and a consistently competitive race pace. He finished eighth under the chequered flag, having improved seven positions.
Alex would like to thank the entire Team Driver team, his mechanic, all his sponsors and, as always, his family. The next round of the WSK Final Cup will take place in Cremona in a week’s time.
