The 2025 WSK season ended in Lonato for Oleksandr Legenkyi with the final race of the Final Cup.
Third weekend of the 2025 WSK Final Cup and third weekend in OK Junior for the Ukrainian driver.
A journey that began in Franciacorta and ended in Lonato, officially kicking off a new phase for Legenkyi in OK Junior, the category he will compete in full-time in 2026. The weekend in Lonato was not an easy one, with adverse weather conditions and rain in the early days.
After finishing P15 in his qualifying group, Alex started the heats on Friday and Saturday. Two forced retirements compromised Legenkyi’s progress, but he had shown good speed under normal conditions, confirming this with P10 in the second heat and improving by five positions. He would have demonstrated this speed again in the Pre-Final, but was forced to retire after a collision at the start.
It was a difficult weekend, but it does not cancel out the great progress made together with Team Driver, his team, in terms of new pace and management of the OK Junior class. The data is excellent and will be useful in view of 2026, to which will be added this weekend’s Trofeo delle Industrie, also in Lonato.
