Third victory of the season for Bertuca, who triumphs at the weekend of the 34th Trofeo Andrea Margutti KZ2.
Again a weekend to be framed for Cristian Bertuca, winner at the South Garda Karting for the third time this season. After the WSK Champions Cup and the first round of the Super Master Series, the Birel Art driver also wins the Andrea Margutti Trophy.
A historic competition now in its 34th year and with a palmares full of great names in motorsport to which, since yesterday, Cristian Bertuca has also been added in the queen class of the event.
Racing for KCS, with the support of Birel Art, TM and Viti Racing, Cristian did his best to aim for the top ranking right from the start without having to think about the rest. Absolute pole position on Friday morning recorded in 45.653 (record lap of the event) with a wide margin over the competition.
In the three heats available, Bertuca took advantage of the front row starting grid to impose his pace by winning the first heat and completing the remaining ones in second place, holding the front row for the pre-final as well. Not easy but functional management that of Cristian, who was able to control his positioning, closing with a fourth place in control.
The KZ2 final then rewarded the whole weekend of the “Cannibal”, aggressive at the right time and leading the race on lap 4 after overtaking for the race leadership. Race pace also on this occasion dominant and confirmed by the fast laps, useful to dig a gap of almost two seconds on the second place and cross the finish line alone.

A really competitive race weekend from all points of view, in the pre-final I lost a few positions but during the final I knew I could do well. The Margutti Trophy is a historical competition for karting and I’m happy to be on the roll of honour.
