The Eagle-1 team ends the first race weekend of its history with the good performance of Alessandro Morosi in the FIM Junior Gp at Estoril.

The adventure on track for Eagle-1 officially started in Portugal with the first milestone in the history of the team and the first great satisfactions that repay the initial efforts. Alessandro Morosi completed a first seasonal engagement as an absolute protagonist in the Moto 3 category and immediately in the points zone.

Such a debut could only fill with joy and pride all the Eagle-1 staff and all the supporters both on the track and at home, especially for the great personality that allowed the whole team to face the top of the standings right from the start.

Filed the free practice/test of the first days, of vital importance for the rest of the season given also the many laps completed and the kilometres put in safe, Alessandro Morosi and the whole team have entered in “attack to time mode”, since the last free practice session that, with the same format of the MotoGP, allowed the “Morox” to access directly to the second qualifying session (Q2) thanks to the third time recorded in the morning.
Q2 held all the guys in the team in suspense from start to finish, with Morosi largely at ease and good at keeping himself in the group of the best, setting the best times and split times from start to finish. With the last stroke of the tail in the final minutes, Alessandro then made the pit box explode with joy thanks to the second best overall time on debut in 1.44.363, just +0.023sec away from the overall pole position.

The first race in Eagle-1 history therefore started from the front row of the grid on Sunday afternoon. A complicated race in full Moto 3 style with continuous front flips that Alessandro Morosi was able to manage and interpret at his best, battling with cunning and determination in the first five positions. A red flag five laps from the end then reshuffled all the cards on the table. After the interruption, the drivers were forced to restart for the last fiery passages across the finish line. It was a no-holds-barred fight that eventually led to Alessandro finishing his race in eleventh position, collecting the first points for him and the team.

More than positive results despite the potential to finish even higher, but which certainly give Eagle-1 a great debut and the desire to return to Valencia in a week’s time (20-21 May 2023) with even more awareness.
