On the circuit of Triscina (Sicily), Oleksandr Legenkyi started his Italian ACI Karting Championship 2024.

It was a particular weekend in southern Italy with uncertain weather at the start and plenty of competitiveness on the track in the Mini Gr.3 class. Oleksandr was able to put together more important kilometres and above all put his improvements into practice in a competition that historically is never a foregone conclusion.

After several free practice sessions, the Ukrainian driver took part in the official qualifying sessions, finishing with the eleventh fastest time overall and sixth in his own session. A good start, which in the Group B heats was useful to make up ground and race for the top positions.

In the two heats all held on Saturday, Alex did his best to be consistent by putting together a P7 in the first heat and a P10 in the second, qualifying for the category finals in P12 overall.

The first race on Sunday morning saw the Team Driver battling throughout the course of the race in the top ten zone, focused and solid to maintain his initial P12.
In the second and final race of the weekend at Triscina, Legenkyi had to contend with even more tussle than in the previous race, managing to recover some lost positions and finish in P14.

Competitive weekend for the young driver, who is ready to continue his season. Alex will be back on track for the second round of the Italian ACI Karting Championship in the weekend of 19 May at the La Conca kart track,
