The Belgian driver performed well at Trinec in the Czech Republic during the second leg of the Champions Of The Future in preparation for the European Championship.

As usual, international karting got a taste of what will be the second round on the European Championship calendar with the test and preparation race, this time at the brand new track in Trinec (Czech Republic). A track of difficult interpretation that Lenn Nijs tackled in the best possible way.

Another good qualifying session for the KR driver, who was able to place 13th overall and third for Group A, a good way to tackle the available heats.

During the heats, Lenn showed great consistency, always managing to stay in the top positions, capitalising on his start and collecting a seventh place, two fifth places, a ninth place and a very good fourth place in the last heat available. Unfortunately, an unlucky pre-final put the brakes on Nijs’ great race pace, projected to the top positions, finishing in P16 overall.

The start from a few positions back than expected, however, did not stop Lenn Nijs who even in the final had the personality to make up important positions by finishing in P17 despite a penalty due to the great battle in the middle of the pack (front spoiler +5sec).

Lenn will be back on track at Trinec on the weekend of 21 May for the FIA European Karting Championship.
