The Team Driver confirmed his championship leadership with an all-out weekend on the Viterbo circuit.
At the Leopard Circuit in Viterbo, the second round of the Italian ACI Karting Championship went down to the wire. Qualifying was not easy for the Ukrainian driver, who was forced to recover right from the start but was sure to have a good race pace.
In the three heats in the program, in fact, Legenkyi proved to be among the best on the track, recovering nine positions in the first heat, finishing P10, another eight positions recovered in the second heat, finishing P11. The last heat was even better with a final P9 and another eleven positions gained.
A good progression that Alex also confirmed in Sunday morning’s Pre-final when, by handling the start very well, he managed to win and finish first with another eight positions improved!
Unfortunately the final was more complicated than expected, also due to the great tussle in the middle of the group. P14 under the chequered flag, which nevertheless allowed Alex to confirm his position as leader of the OKN-J general classification.
