Cristian Bertuca wins again at Lonato, second consecutive victory in the queen class, this time valid for the WSK Super Master Series classification.
It is the best start of the season in his career for the Birel Art driver, two victories in the first three races of the season and a lot of extra awareness in his growth path in KZ2, which is now definitely under way.
If the WSK Champions Cup of the previous week had represented the first great satisfaction in the category for Cristian, last Sunday’s encore is the confirmation that is worth the double. In the first stage of the historical “Super Master Series”, the Cannibal had to face not only the rivals of KZ2 but also the best drivers of KZ, as usual gathered in the only category in this first part of the season. A success that took on even more value, especially because of the very high level of competitiveness and of the big rival names.
As seven days before, Cristian maximised the qualifying session without making mistakes in the heats, obtaining the fifth overall time, second for group A. An optimal starting position that allowed Bertuca to win two heats out of three, taking the lead after the first few metres to the chequered flag.
During the high-tension Sunday of the Super Master Series, the Milanese driver did not take too many risks during the pre-final, starting first and managing without risks with a totally harmless fourth place and the absolute pole position for the KZ2 final now in his pocket.
In the last twenty-one laps of the weekend, Bertuca’s absolute masterpiece given by his growing experience and perfect feeling with his Birel Art. Still excellent start and escape for the entire duration of the race administering in the final, and then cross the finish line first again. Second success in a row that is worth an encore at the South Garda Karting and launches Cristian to the first place in the overall standings.
