The MMR team closes the first test days of the Moto2 2023 season on a positive note.

The start of the FIM Junior Gp Moto2 is getting closer and closer and after the long and very important winter break, the MMR staff is finally back on track on the Spanish track for a two days that, in fact, opened the doors of a 2023 all to live with Niccolò Antonelli, Mattia Volpi and Maxwell Toth on the saddle for their debut with the team colours.

They were two intense days during which Massimiliano Morlacchi’s team staff were also able to test the new team set-up ahead of the first race weekend scheduled for 7 May at Estoril (Portugal).

Niccolò Antonelli returned to where he had ended his season in the Moto2 World Championship, starting 2023 with excellent sensations and a completed work programme. The same goes for Mattia Volpi, also returning to the Ricardo Tormo circuit at Valencia and more than ever ready for a second year in the category of eagerly awaited confirmation.

Also making his official debut as a rider in the category is Maxwell Toth, who will be on track on his own Kalex in American Racing Team colours, alongside the American rider in his first season in Moto2 with MMR.

M.Morlacchi – Team MMR Owner: “I’m very happy with how this first shake down went, the team worked very well despite there being a new part of the staff, decent lap times and excellent work from all the riders. We are preparing ourselves in the best possible way for Estoril in a few weeks when the season gets into full swing! Many thanks to all the sponsors who support us again this season and strongly believe in our project. I also thank all the technical partners, of course the MMR staff and our riders”.
