Remigiusz Samczyk finished in the Top Ten in the OK Junior final at Portimao at the end of a weekend of great growth and speed.

The Polish driver tackled one of the most difficult weekends in terms of weather conditions with great maturity, with intermittent and sudden rain from start to finish.

In these conditions, it was not easy for Remek to adapt and find the right condition, as it is for all drivers. The Fusion team driver was good at keeping his concentration at all times and ending his weekend on a high note.

During qualifying, Remek found a good lap time in his session, finishing in P9. In the heats between Friday and Saturday he did his best, finishing with three top ten results, including two fifth positions with fast lap times on the best lap of the race. Unfortunately in the Super Heat on Sunday morning, a driver caused contact on the formation lap, forcing Remek to retire. This, however, did not stop the Polish driver who, in the final (finally on a dry track), kept his cool and ran his race, eventually managing to recover sixteen positions and finish P10.

It was an excellent end to the weekend for Remek, who is increasingly at ease in this category and improving race after race.

Remek would like to thank his team, his mechanic Krzysztof, IAME, all his sponsors and his family. Next step will be Viterbo, FIA Karting European Championship Round 3.
